Printing this?
Download the SVG for print shops and any large size, and test-scan the proof with a phone or two before the run.
How to use the SVG QR code generator
SVG is a vector format: the code stays sharp at any size, from a business card to a billboard. Print shops and design tools such as Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape and Canva open it directly.
- Enter your content and style the code.
- Choose SVG under Format in the preview panel; it is already selected on this page.
- Download and place the file in your design. Scale it as large as you need.
SVG or PNG?
Choose SVG for print, packaging, signs and anything you will scale.
Choose PNG for documents, slides, email and social posts. It comes in 512 to 4096 px; 4096 px prints about 35 cm (13.6 in) wide at 300 dpi.
How big to print a QR code
A practical rule is to make the code at least a tenth of the scanning distance: 2 cm (0.8 in) for a business card read up close, about 30 cm (12 in) for a poster read from 3 m (10 ft).
Leave a blank margin, the quiet zone, around the code, and test-scan a printed proof before a large run.
